"Entrepreneurship - Employment instrument, EU PHARE ProgramME / Project BG2004 / 016-711.11.01 Human Resource Development and Employment Promotion"
Together with the Regional Business Center for Support of Small and Medium Enterprises - Pernik and the National Business Development Network. Creation of conditions for enhancing entrepreneurial activity and adaptability related to finding alternative employment and labour realization by self-employment of a group of selected people from the municipalities of Pernik, Radomir, Breznik, Tran, Zemen and Kovachevtsi. The project was geared to the unemployed in active age youngsters up to 29 years old and elderly people over 50 years old, selected after our consultants' criteria and entrepreneurship tests.
Activities of the HIRON's team
The consultants were instructed to stimulate, prepare and support a target group of twenty-six entrepreneurs to start their own business. The group took part in a six-month specialized training in entrepreneurship and was certified to meet the requirements for part of the profession "Small and Medium Business". The result was 20 developed and defended rationales for starting a new business. Therefore, there were 18 business plans prepared, 8 new businesses had been registered and 10 new jobs opened.
The success of the project was demonstrated at the regional conference "Entrepreneurship for a Competitive Local Economy", attended by over 70 local government representatives, specialized state institutions, business support organizations and the business community.
